About Callingwood South Edmonton

Both Callingwood North and South are smaller residential neighborhoods in West Edmonton, forming part of the Callingwood Area, and is highly inhabited by a younger generation. It is best known for the Jamie Platz YMCA, Lois Hole Library, Twin Arenas, it's famous farmer's market, a large strip mall, and the massive community park. Houses in this part of West Edmonton were built primarily in the 1970s, located south of Whitemud Drive, bounded by 178 Street to the west, 170 Street to the east, and 69th Avenue to the south. A few of the main attractions for living in Callingwood include the close proximity to West Edmonton Mall and the Misericordia Hospital.
