Grovenor is an older community in west-central Grovenor Area, originally called Westgrove. There is a commercial building on the corner of 142nd which still uses the name today. Grovenor residents have easy access to Westmount Mall, the downtown core and the commercial services along Stony Plain Road, but the main highlight of Grovenor Edmonton is the spectacular McKinnon Ravine. Real Estate in Grovenor is changing. Not too long ago it was where "everyone" wanted to live with the affordability and the quick access to the downtown core. Grovenor, next to Glenora in west-central Edmonton has experienced major real estate development for many of these old 1910 bungalow style houses which have been torn down and replaced by newer duplex style properties.
