About Holyrood Edmonton

Holyrood is a beautiful community in the Ottewell Area between Idylwylde and Strathearn in South Edmonton. It is located in the south-east part of the city bounded by 75 Street, 85 Street, 98 Avenue, and south by 90 Avenue. Residential real in Holyrood consists of almost single-family detached houses. Most of these homes were built during the 1950s, but over the last decade, new modern houses have been replacing the pre-war style properties. Today there is a vast mix of detached houses in style, design, condition and price ranges. Homeowners in Holyrood have nearby access to Bonnie Doon Mall, the popular staircase To Cloverdale, Gallagher Park, and several community retail services. Holyrood has had four names since the early 1900s. It was originally called both Mount Pleasant and East Edmonton Gardens in 1912 and later called Balmoral. The name Holyrood is from Holyrood Abbey in Edinburgh, Scotland. Holyrood Edmonton is a calm, relaxing, matured community south of 98 Avenue along 75 street in the Ottewell Area with a small commercial plaza is located in the southeast corner. Only recently has Holyrood's real estate become more active for sale due to the ageing demographics and a large portion of Edmonton's baby boomers. Holyrood has had four names since its inception in the early 1900s. It was called both Mount Pleasant and East Edmonton Gardens in 1912, Balmoral, and renamed Holyrood. Real estate in Holyrood consists of almost entirely detached houses, solid bungalows with tree-lined streets and beautifully landscaped backyards and newer Luxury homes. Houses in Holyrood Edmonton are bounded by Strathearn, Forest Heights, and Idylwylde communities.
