About Kernohan Edmonton

Kernohan is nestled between Bannerman in the Clareview Area and Canon Ridge, bounded by Victoria Trail and 137 Avenue, bisected by Clareview Road in the Hermitage Area in real estate zone 35 in northeast Edmonton. It is named for an early pioneer farmer who operated a grocery store here in the 1880s. Several of the houses in Kernohan Edmonton along River Point and 22 Street back onto the Hermitage River Valley Green Space and Dog Park. This is one of the few communities in northeast Edmonton where houses situated on the river valley are affordable. Kernohan is named after James Kernohan, who was an early pioneer farmer and coal miner who came with his family to Alberta from Ontario.
