About Kildare Edmonton

Kildare is about 10 minutes north to the Canadian Forces Base Edmonton Garrison in the northeast Edmonton which makes it a perfect location to purchase a detached house for our military members and for resale when posted again. Kildare is located in the Northmount Area between Delwood and Kilkenny, north of the Yellowhead Trail bounded by 137 Avenue in real estate zone 02. Homes in Kildare offer bungalow style houses, developed during 1960-1980, many with in-law basement suites and a few duplexes. Kildare Park provides homeowners with a large recreational space and easy access to other parts of the city. Kildare is named after the town and county of Kildare, Ireland. A nunnery was founded there by St. Bridget, who changed the name from Druim Criaidh to Cill-dara, which means the church of the oak.
