La Perle houses for sale listed by West Edmonton Mall Area area real estate agents. La Perle Edmonton is a modest community located to the northwest of West Edmonton Mall, across from Terra Losa shopping center, between Belmead and south of 101 Avenue forming part of real estate zone 20, bounded by 178 Street. Real estate development in La Perle are homes and other property dwellings on smaller lots which were designed to help preserve agricultural land and conserve energy. Half of the homes in the area are single-family houses and features the central La Perle Elementary school and a two-hectare park site with the La Perle Shopping Centre located at the heart of the community. Houses in La Perle, West Edmonton were developed primarily in the 1980s and 1990s. La Perle is named after Eleodore Joseph Leo LaPerle, who was born in Ontario, then opened a general store at the Winterburn Corner. Leo LaPerle took over his father’s store in 1929, which operated until 1969 when it was torn down.
