Lymburn is a family oriented community in west Edmonton and forms part of the northwest portion of the Callingwood Area in real estate zone 20. Lymburn Edmonton was named after the attorney general John F. Lymburn who took part in negotiations between the Alberta and federal governments over natural resource rights, prepared Alberta's submission in the Person case and played a minor role in the sex scandal that forced Brownlee from office. Real estate in Lymburn consists of residential properties constructed in the 1980s with a housing style mix of four level splits, two-story houses, bungalows, and bi-level homes. Constructed in the 1980s and 1990s, houses in Lymburn are away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet offer walking distance to all amenities for convenience, and West Edmonton Mall is about a 15-minute walk.
