Mayliewan is located in the Lake District in the far north Edmonton, between Belle Rive and Ozerna, bounded by 82 Street, 153 Avenue, and 167 Avenue. Similar to other Lake District communities, Mayliewan Edmonton is a great place for our military members to purchase real estate with a ten-minute commute to CFB Garrison. Houses construction in Mayliewan took place in the 1990s and continued well into the 2000s with 97 percent single-family houses and 3 percent duplexes. A large school/park site is located in the center of Mayliewan and houses the St. John Bosco Elementary School. Named after a body of water, Mayliewan was taken from the Cantonese word meaning beautiful bay. Homes in Mayliewan Edmonton are located in the Lake District in North Edmonton, bordered by 167 Avenue to the north, 82 Street towards CFB Garrison, 74 Street, and 153 Avenue, between Ozerna, Belle Rive, and Schonsee. Mayliewan was designed to ensure that most residents and homeowners would have direct easy access to parks and/or one of the two stormwater management lakes. Mayliewan was named after a body of water, taken from the Cantonese word meaning beautiful bay. Mayliewan features newer north Edmonton houses with some real estate development in the 1980s. There are two condominium complexes within Mayliewan, also known as Cherry Grove which include Cherrywood Lane at 16224 73 street and All Pine Village at 16415 77 Street.
