About McCauley Edmonton

McCauley is located in the eastern portion of Downtown Edmonton between Parkdale and Boyle Street, bounded by Edmonton's light rail transit tracks, 111 Avenue and bisected by 107-stadium road in real estate zone 13. This triangle-shaped neighbourhood is bounded by the CNR right-of-way, 101st Street and Norwood Boulevard. In 1892, Edmonton was incorporated as a town with a population of approximately 700. At the time, most people resided in Ross Flats, known as Rossdale or in the area east of 101 Street, near Jasper Avenue. McCauley Edmonton has recently become one of the developers favorite communities and the older homes are now being replaced by newer properties and infills. House prices in McCauley are still one of the least expensive places to purchase a home near the downtown core. McCauley was named in honour of Edmontons first mayor, the colorful Matthew McCauley.
