Riverbend & Ogilvie Ridge Real Estate Listings
Ogilvie Ridge is located in Riverbend between Carter Crest and Hodgson near the popularTerwillegar Recreation Centre. It is bounded by Osmand Drive, and Rabbit Hill, south of Bulyea Heights and west of Kaskitayo. Named after James H. Ogilvie, a politician, lawyer, and a veteran of World War I. Ogilvie originally came to our city from Nova Scotia and enrolled at the University of Alberta, called to the bar in 1920 and served as an alderman.
The majority of Ogilvie Ridge homes were constructed in the late eighties and early nineties. The original plan was for Ogilvie Ridge to be a gated community, marked by the entrance clock tower. Unfortunately, the city of Edmonton chose not to allow any gated communities within the Riverbend-Terwillegar district. A large portion of these luxury homes offers private ravine views. These houses can be found along Osland Drive, Omand Drive, and Osbourne Crescent. O'conner and Olsen Close offer community walking trails to the ravine. There are two condominium complexes located in Ogilvie Edmonton. Whitemud Creek Classic on Bulyea Road and Whitemud Creek Estates duplex on Oeming Road.
